Educate Our State is a grassroots movement; so spreading the word through person-to-person contact is an important part of what we do. For more information on attending or hosting an Educate Me! Event in your area, contact us at [email protected]. We will let you know about what is going on in your area and/or assign a point person to support you through the “hosting” process.

There are a few different styles of Educate Me events dependent on your location, the number of attendees, and amount of time. Or maybe you’re already holding an event and would like us to come and talk; we can do that, too!

House Meetings

Location: home, community center, library, or other casual space.

Attendees: works well with 25 or so

Format: We share, we talk, you share, and you ask questions, in a casual and informal way.

Time: approximately 90 minutes

Office Brown Bag Lunch Meet-Up

Location: your office

Attendance: works well with 15-30 people

Format: We talk (fast) and provide a high level overview of the issues and give you a chance to ask questions.

Time: approximately 45 minutes

Town Hall

Location: school, community center or other larger venue

Attendance: 100+ people

Format: We present, other education experts present, Q&A time

Time: approximately 2 hours

We can also present at your next PTA meeting, Rotary Club meeting, education foundation luncheon or other group event where there are parents and community members interested in the issues facing our schools and what we can do about it.
