Join Piedmont community members who care about children, education and the future of this state on Friday, May 16th at the corner of Oakland and Highland Avenues.
We will be raising awareness and reaching out and telling our state leaders that we want the opportunity to vote on whether property taxes allocated to education should go to education, and ask them to put a measure on the ballot to Let Us Vote. Learn more about the measure here. Take 15 seconds and let them know you care here.
Ten years ago the legislature diverted schools' property taxes to pay state debts. Schoolchildren should not be the interest free lender to the state. Children need us to be their advocates. It will be fun - please come on down!
